I went online today and found a review of the V6J. I was very suprised that they gave it a bad score. The site is www.pcpro.co.uk. Anyone want to refute this review? I was epescially suprised about how bad the gaming performance was.

In addition, I have noticed that quite a few people have the V6J. A review would be very nice.

Is that review a joke."as nice as the finish looks, it doesn't have the 'feel' of a Sony, for example. There's an unpleasant nail-on-blackboard sensation if you accidentally s****e a fingernail against it"The keyboard is run-of-the-mill, too, with our biggest complaint being that it rattles during use. are they kidding the keyboard kicks ass on the v6j did they even use a sony keyboard. The V6J is quite big? now i know they never even saw one before. Its the smallest in its class period next to a mac. "But it lacks unique selling points, and the price is simply too high. For this much, you could buy the more desirable Sony VAIO VGN-FE11S" how about the unique selling point is its far above a sony build lighter and one of a kind.

three hours, 13 minutes under light use and one hour, 59 minutes in our intensive-use test. These times are perfectly respectable, but still a long way from the superb life of machines based on the ULV Pentium M, such as the Sony VAIO TX2XP. why are they even comparing to a ULV chip?

I'm surprised those people are aloud to do reviews..... I think the notebook could have been driven over with a truck and still scored better in even way by a legitimate reviewer.

Given the quality of an Asus chassis you probably wouldn't even know it HAD been run over by a truck. I found it funny that there was little real substance to the review. It was mostly cosmetic issues that were covered, and the only actual statistic that I saw described the computer as 'very fast'. Rather contradictory to the outcome if you ask me.

They are saying its not worth the money.Better contruction comes at a price though thats why thinkpads cost a premium and they are worth it to for just that alone.

Let's put it this way......... I've seen many "reviews" on many sites that are similiar to this and they're done by a college kid in his dorm room while looking at pictures someone else took online..... We ran into an issue like this not too long ago when someone two pictures that I could clearly see were from 3 totally different models and the guys review was clearly BS and taken just from what you could see in the photos......... but there's only one problem with that.... if he couldn't tell the photos were of 3 different systems - that alone probably wouldn't qualify to even comment on them if he saw them in person.... but basically an idiot looking at pictures from a computer show some place can make a story out of it for their site and never even come close to touching the actual product.

... now this one was way off the deep end..... but sometimes when they're some what on the believable side..... they could totally turn a whole group of people off to what really is a great system.

Personally, its because of this very issue that I usually won't commit to something without at least two well-written reviews that show there was some substance behind the critique. Reading multiple reviews, if available, will help prevent one person's skewed or unqualified perception from becoming what some consider to be truth.

maybe some of you all with more experience should comment near the bottom on the review, expose his bias.
