Well, I am deciding between these 3 notebooks...and I just have a question..i'm a bit of a gamer...and i know i wont be playing PC games on HIGH settings for any of these notebooks..but i dont mind that..i just wanted to know if games even run on these notebooks...

Games like: Battlefield 2 or Doom 3? Even on the lowest settings do they run?

This is the last thing holding me back..because these computers...are **** sexy...please posts some results here on how these games run...thanks a bunch!

I had the W3v for over a month (before my sister took it), here's my estimate on it's performance.

Halo PC- 25-50fps on high/medium settings/ very playable
    Doom 3- 20-40fps on medium/low settings/ playable
Warhammer 40k Dawn of War (RTS)- 25-60fps medium/high settings/ amazing looking

In general it is just powerful enough play just about any game at decent (exceptable) settings. As far as fsp I'd say it's a little worse than 9700pro but significantly better than a 9600pro. The image quality compares more with a 6800gt than anything else I've seen.
Bottom line- it's a good arcitexture card and with a little more horse power it could be amazing.

W3v gaming- For me the graphics of the W3v weren't the biggest drawback, basic laptop configuration was. Firstly touchpads are unthinkable for gaming, so you must use a mouse. Bluetooth mice just don't cut it for FPS's (I had a Logitech MX900 and small portable one as well) but do work for RPGs and RTSs. For FSPs you must use a wired mouse, not a big deal but some thing you should know. Secondly the keyboard, it it parallel with the screen so if you're used to angling the keyboard while gaming, you need a external keyboard. Secondly for FSPs it is quite common to use the "Ctrl", on the W3v a toggle function ("Fn") key to the left of the "Ctrl" key, moving the "Ctrl" key to the right one key, so it isn't very practical to use. Other than this the keyboard is great, it is full sized and has a nice rise/depression when pressed (doesn't feel flimsy). Another concern is the screen, it looks great but for FSPs it does ghost, you can see it if you look for it. I would compare it to a desktop monitor with a 25ms response time. Thankfully the ghosting is easy to ignore. The last concern as far as W3v gaming is that it will heat up while gaming, I get uncomfortable after couple hour of it heating my legs. Other than while gaming heat is not an issue with the W3v (for me).
Despite all of the drawbacks I mentioned, I was pleased with the gaming experience I had on the W3v, so much so that I played games on it more than my desktop system for the month or so I had it before my sister stole it and ran off to college (actually it was a present for her).

Compared to the others, it's better than the W1n, though if the W1v comes it will be more powerfull than both the W3v and V6v. Compared to the V6v the W3v is identical. Though the V6v might be easier since it's larger and has a full screen rather than a wide screen. The W3v is a good gaming laptop but isn't good enough that that is the primary reason you should buy it.

    alright another W3V owner here...
BF2 runs smoothly at 1280x768 at medium/low settings, FPS hovers mostly around the 30's to 50's.
For Doom 3, I had to bump the resolution down to 800x600 at medium to get it playable. 1024x768 had drops down to 10ish fps. It's smooth at 800x600 though. (I actually ended up running Doom3 at 640x480 on medium hooked up to a TV... scariest experience ever.)
Other games it has troubles with so far have been the FEAR demo, mostly playable at 1280x768, but choppy in some areas, lowering the resolution would help. Halo also has issues (extremely shader intensive game there) at 1280x768, it's playable until you get into a huge battle. lowering the resolution would certainly help.
For some reason, Warhammer 40k, DoW overheats my harddrive when I play for extended periods of time. It's the only game that does it; the hard drive gets hot while playing other games, but never hot enough to cause CHC to throw a warning at me (>55C)
My framerate never dropped below 28 in Half Life 2 at 1280x768 on medium settings. Farcry also runs smoothly at 1280x768 on low/medium settings.

I think those are all the games I've tried with the W3V; If I think up anymore, I'll let you know.

the W3V seems very popular...i need some impressions from the W1n and V6V before i decide though....but these impressions are good..because im not a freak of resolution....on my PC i usually play doom 3 at 640x480 with all settings to high...so these are good results, thanks a lot

Your looking in all the wrong places. Z70va refresh with x700 is out. It scores stock 2400 points on 3dmark05. With a bit of overclocking you can get it close to 3000. This would mean a game like doom 3 can be played above 30fps at medium or higher settings. W3v has an older x600 in it. For its size is great but its twice as slow as the x700. Z70va is actually cheaper then the w3v pound for pound.
