    Hello to all!

    Last week I got my new V6VA. Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the great deal of info on this forum, which helped me to pick the perfect laptop for me! Special thanks go to Expander for helping me out finding a model with the IPS panel. This is really one incredible display! The thinness of the chassis together with its interior made out of brushed aluminium make it a true eye catcher. Very sexy laptop - I really like it.

    However I have one little issue with the integrated Bluetooth. I have a logitech Bluetooth mouse which is working just fine with the V6VA. The only thing that annoys me is that every time I power on my notebook the Bluetooth is turned off. This is regardless of the state it was in before turning off the notebook. So I have to turn it on manually each time I boot the laptop.
    Is there any way to enable Bluetooth right from the start? The integrated WLAN is working out of the box too, so why isnt this possible with Bluetooth?
    I am using the latest ATK and HControl drivers.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    It is good to hear you be happy with your new sexy laptop.

    Normally, we need to turn it on to enable the bluetooth when it requires to communicate with another bluetooth device, at least let them to receive and send the signals. Please make sure the drivers' default setting as enable, otherwise, try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, then restart the Windows.

    Hmmm, never happens to me, if its on, its always on til I press the button.

    Do you have the ASUS BT utility installed, besides the ATK and HControl?

    I was wondering about the same thing. Bluetooth turned off after hibernates or reboot regarless of the setting. I haven't figured out how to make it stay on.

    Thanks for the replies!

    @CanadaSys
    I could not find the BT setting you mentioned.
    Where can I change the default behavior of the driver and set it to ebabled?

    @coriolis
    which BT utility do you mean? I checked the Asus download page and could not find a BT utility.
    Which BIOS version do you have? Maybe it has to do with that one?

    @dugdug
    Have you made any changes to the default installation?
    Are you using the default toshiba bluetooth stack?
    Whats your BIOS version?

    One additional info:
    With the help posted on this forum I managed to install the widcomm BT stack. Could it be that this is preventing it from working like it should?
    I figured my problem is independant of the installed BT stack, because when I disable BT with the hardware button on my V6VA, the Bluetooth device completely disappears from the device manager and reappears when I ebable BT again.
    Thats why I thought enabling and disabling happens on a very low level (possibly BIOS or other proprietary Asus software?).

    There is a shipment of V6J have similiar problem, but more serious, when you turn off the BT, cannot turn back on, that is because of the problem from the circiut board, but yours doesn't sound that serious.

    Well,

    I learned a bit more about this. It seems that when I have Asus Wireless Console loaded, the Bluetooth setting remember the on/off setting after reboot/hibernate. Without the Asus Wireless Console, it always defaulted to off after reboot/hibernate.
