This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Yeah, some resellers offer to customize ensemble notebooks but doing so usually voids the Asus warranty. The reseller may offer his own warranty to compensate.

    ^ If you look at the warranty, it is an AGear warranty.

    I've heard they have the proc. compartment and the RAM easy to reach at the bottom of the rig.

    I wonder if it's worth waiting for your manuf. warranty run out and then replace on your own (I don't know what exactly that entails from a system config. perspective). At the very least, the Core Duo procs will be less expensive in a year, plus you'll have the manuf. warranty for the first year.
