Hi! Check this out, V6 users, I just increased my performance, battery life, and heat (mentioned in other thread)! I did some benchmarks and I just got this:
My V6v:
Intel® Pentium® M-750 (1.86Ghz)
ATI MOBILITY RADEON X600 w/64MB VRAM (192MB Hyper memory)
1x 512MB DDR2-400 Single Channel SO-DIMM Memory
80GB 5400rpm Ultra DMA/100 Hard Disk
3Dmark03: 3310
Cpu: 774
3Dmark05: 1285
Cpu: 3271
PCMark02:
Cpu: 6177
HDD: 800
Memory: 11421
Pcmark05:
Cpu: wait because I dont have the serial lol
HDD:
Memory:
AquaMark3: 27282
After this I have some problems with this very cool notebook, like high temps because of my bios upgrade. Waiting for new bios Some time spending, searching and reading some forums like this one, people tell me to try CHC (Centrino Hardware Control), in my opinion a great program for those who have a centrino of course. I undervolt my v6 native voltage (1.308v) to 1.036v with the multiplier at 14x (1866ghz) and 0.968v to 0.700v with the multiplier at 6x (800ghz). I tested with Prime95 and other applications the stability of the notebook. The max temp reached now is 68º (after was 75º/76º) at 14x, and 53º at 6x. The palm rest is a little hot at the higher temp but bearable. Some times the HDD reaches 45º, the palm rest goes a bit hotter.
Undervolting increases my battery life and put my temps very low considered the previous with the same bios. My configurations to reach this battery time were: First of all, in bios, put intel speedstep technology at minimum. Then in windows, choose Power4g email/office use. And with CHC activated, in tray choose battery optimization. Turn off wLan and Bluetooth. This is more than sufficient to work in office applications, listen to some music and navigate in the web at the same time without problems. And, almost forgot, regulate brightness to half capacity or a bit lower, perfect to see in my opinion. I will put a couple of print screens to prove u fokes.
i reached 4h02m! I just passed the barrier of 4h! And it was really 4h, this is not a bug of the monitor of the temps. I check the time for 10 minutes and it was correct. I read that, when I was searching for my notebook, the v6v max bat was 3h11m in email/office use.
You may be wondering how I could reach that those marks above with these features in 3dmark03 and 05. The answer is simple, (sorry ATI ), I used the Omega modified drivers. In the beginning, I was afraid about these modified drivers I wonder if they bring some stability problems and incompatibility with some applications like games, but so far, theres nothing. For precaution, I download the latest ATI certified driver, and the omega.
I will only try overclocking whew asus guaranty expires. So the frequencies of the x600 and the cpu are the native frequencies.
Conclusion, this is a really great notebook (my first! , its a really beautiful piece of technology. I spend the last month and after, searching a laptop that satisfied me, I also put a thread in this great forum asking which notebook I wouldnt buy, and I was going to buy W3v. I bought V6v instead of W3v because the larger screen, beauty of v6, and unfortunately there isnt the w3v series here in Portugal, only W3n. (I prefer buying from local resellers that importing from internet, and I cant find W3v in national (Portugal) sites). Someday I will live in EUA and buy notebooks from PROPORTABLE
So I never see my asus notebook choices in the big stores I dont understand big stores (in Portugal), I can only see HPs, Toshibas, Packard Bells and Acers they suck! A few weeks ago I found W5 and A6N in fnac store! Asus notebooks have so much quality, I dont understand why they dont put this great manufacture in big stores.
Thanks people of this forum, that have the work to answer me and help me to solve my problems, and thanks Justin who helps me out deciding which notebook to buy.

congradulations man, thanks for the info, I will try this out.
You would probably get more battery life if you threw in another stick of 512 mb ddr2. It would speed things up and also prevent too much HDD access.
Then, you could go in CHC and change the HDD profile so its "silent" and to enable spin-down.
Can anybody explain what spin-down is?
Does it mean that the hard drive is only spinning when its needed and when it stops loading data, it shuts off? -
V6v new scores! Check this out!
