    would 2 of these:
    [Kingston 1GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 400 (PC2 3200) Notebook Memory - Retail ]

    Fit into the V6V and/or the W3V?

Um... yes, should be fine. I wouldn't go with anything other than ddr2 533 in the W3, and if you were to get a V6, I'd probably get the 533 anyway..... Asus could open that up very easily with a bios update....... add to that, they are basically the same price and on the currrent unit, the system will scale down the speed to 400 without a problem.

Sorry newbie :( -- I can't find any 240-pin laptop RAM on newegg?

On a side note I was under the belief that Kingston was better than Gigaram and Corsair? Yes/No?

Well my Z70V is very similar to the V6V. I've got 2 sticks of Kingston KVR (1gb each) in them. It works.

    I think that notebook DDR2 is a 200-Pin SO-DIMM while desktop DDR2 memory is a 240-Pin DIMM.

I have a Kingston 1GB module (model # KVR533D2S4/1G) in my W3V that works just fine.

I was looking at some RAM, and some has a timing of 4-4-4-11 (like Corsair VS) and some are 4-4-4-8 (like OCZ). Which do I need for my W3V to go along with the original 512MB module?

    Thanks
