I have earbuds hooked up to my ASUS P50IJ-X2. I can often hear very quiet staticy squealish sounds coming out of them. I imagine I cannot notice this on internal speakers because they are not right up to my ear. This has always happened, and I have used these earbuds successfully with many other devices. What is happening?

If it's not the hardware problem then you can try download and install the VIA HD Audio Codec:

It did not fix it. While the audio was disabled when I was finishing up what I was doing prior to restarting, the noises were gone though. I would record the noises, but they are random.

I can confirm that the same thing happens on the internal speakers. Why is this happening?
