I am considering the purchase of a used W1N. It is five months old and in very good condition. (No sratches or marks and everything works as expected). It has ~19 months remaining on the two year warrenty.
I thought maybe some of you who monitor prices more freqently than me could help me determine if the price is resonable or not. The seller (who lives down the street) is asking $1500. Is this a good deal?
Muchos gracias,
RR

Sounds like a decent deal, about 25% off new, i might go for another 100 or even 200 off that though, maybe offer him $1300 cash.
-
DEFINATELY offer less than asking. $1,300 seems fair - variables include how well it's been maintained and if you think he's careful with his gear.

CoffeeShark,
Thanks for your timely reply!
It seems like a pretty good deal to me as well. I am however torn because of the proposed (August) availability of the V1J with dual core, upgraded graphics and without TV tuner. I am expecting the V1J to cost ~$2,000.
A couple of other questions:
Is the ASUS warranty transferable? What if anything is needed to transfer warranty from one person to another?
Are there any known problems / issues with W1N?
Muchos gracias yet again,

Oh man I was looking for one of those before I bought my Z70Va, but everyone was out of stock and couldn't get anymore.
I would so trade my laptop for yours or even buy yours if I had money, but I think I wouldn't like the performance drop going to yours from my more powerful Z70Va.
Even still that thing is a beauty, I still want it. Darn. Wish I had some money, I would buy yours in an instant.
Cheers and goodluck selling it,

Shampoo,
Just to clarify, I do not (yet) own it - am considering purchase.

I say 1300 or less seems fair, not 1500 even though it was expensive before. This is american dollars right? Right.
I say get it if you don't need too much computing power. That will handle pretty much everything you can throw at it except the latest games.
I would go for it.
