I just got my F8SN-C1 in the mail about 2 hours ago, and honestly I have to say that I am VERY impressed. I was excecting alot less in the way of build quality after reading alot of reviews, but this thing seems to be built like a tank. The case that comes with this thing is also very nice as well, much more then I expected, im actually going to use the thing! Now with performance, wow, I just ran Oblivion with all the sliders to max, Ultra High texture quality, HDR lighting, at 1440 x 900 resolution and got an average of about 35 FPS, with factory drivers! Im really excited about the gaming potential of this notebook to say the leastAnyway, one happy Asus owner and way to go excaliberPC getting this thing to me quick, but BOOOO to FedEX for delivering it at 7:30 P.M when im 10 minutes from the Hub!

How is the sound quality, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere...

The speakers sound good, no distortion or anything like that, but obviously there isnt any bass and the volume doesnt go very high. If your in a quite room you will be fine and have absolutely no problem hearing/understanding music or movies. But if you are in a noisy area or anything like that then I would suggest headphones. These speakers definetly sound better then my frieds Sony Vaio VGN-FJ270, not as loud, but clearer. Same as with my girlfriends vostro 1400, there loudness is roughly equal, but the ASUS speakers seem to be slightly clearer. But I would say overall, there what you would expect from a notebook of this size. One more thing ive noticed is that the mouse buttons on the keyboard have a very 'hollow' clicking sound when used, its obvious its supposed to be there but it is loud and sounds a bit like if you press down on the caps of Snapple drinks after you have opened them (you know, the glass kind with the bump on top to ensure the seal hasent been broken). Also, the touchpad has a bit of texture to it, its not smooth but not rough, I dont know if I like that yet. But since im using a VX Nano it doesnt really matter anyway.

Congrats
F8S seems to be a very stable notebook, I haven't heard almost any complaints about it, enjoy it!
