Cross posting this here and on the gaming software forum.

    Can anyone help me?

I bought my z70va about 2 weeks ago, and I just downloaded 3dmark05, and I got what seems like a very very low score for my system...1650.

I'm using Mobility Catalyst 5.13 drivers...no clue what the problem is.

    System specs are:
    2.00ghz
    1gb ram
    x700

If you need to know anything else, just ask.

Nothing was running. I'm plugged in on max performance.

Ran it again to make sure, scored 1719.

I don't think I have any good answers for you but I had a similar problem with my W3V -- way too low 3dmark05 scores.

Thanks to the folks on this board, figured out that the primary problem was that I had the ATI powerplay settings to balanced when plugged in instead of on max performance. But you've already addressed that, I guess...

It seemed to be my drivers, I installed the latest Omega drivers and OC'd my card a bit, and I'm getting 2850 in 3dmark05 now.

Ah, yes...it's amazing what drivers can do. However, keep in mind benchmarks don't always mean much...

I'm pretty sure you had powerplay on medium settings or something like that with a program you are using.

    Try the latest catalyst drivers.

    Cheers,

I had my powerplay set to max performance while plugged in, and I ran all the tests while plugged in, so I'm still not sure what the problem was. I was using the latest Catalyst Mobile drivers (5.13).

But the Omega drivers are working fine.

    Thanks for the help anyway.

links are awesome!!! this is a link to get the latest mobility radeon drivers whenever a new one comes out, without the stupid check that is on the ati website.

keep it secret, keep it safe ^_^ hahaha

this is for that one guy aphirat,

you have a crazy x700 phoenix, that is the only logical solution, you x700 got in with a bad crowd and there is no turning back.
