    Hey all,

How do I adjust the video memory??

I can't see anything in the BIOS either.

    Thanks in advance

You don't.... it's based on a percentage of system ram....

    Hey,

For instance, if I have 768MB, how much of Video RAM is dedicated??

Better yet, what is the % ratio per actual RAM??

    Thanks

I don't know... I'd have to take a look... I figured it out for ATI's "hypermemory" in my W3...... but not for the integrated in the W5... I think 128mb is the max....... and you can max the system out at 1.5gb...... so this might be foolish, but I might assume 64mb will be available to you right now....

I was just curious how to do it.

Similarly configured Acer TM3002 had an option in the BIOS to choose the size of video ram.

Wait... I think they even have the BIOS made by the same company. American Megatrends.

Also how is it possible to have 1.5GB RAM?? It has on-board 256MB and if you install additional 1GB stick, it still is 1.256.

Can you remove the on-board RAM or does it require to have new mainboard with 512MB on-board installed??

    Thanks again!!

PS) Justin, do you have the ETA for Asus PDA/phone yet??

Excuse me, 1 and 1/4 gb.... You can't remove the module on the motherboard.

Yes and no on the phone..... I should finally get my final production unit some time after the holiday....... as far as when our shipment of retail units comes, I might have a better idea next week.... it's going to be hard to replace my razr with the p505.... lol.. as a phone, I can't give my razr up.. but for what the p505 does.... man.. I used that to post in this forum a few times... can't do that on my phone.

I see - for the ram.

Also, is Razr that great?? I get mixed feedbacks about the phone. People who love Razr, they just love it. And people who don't like it, they would never use it even if Motorola paid them to do so.

I personally never had an experience with the phone but it surely looks nice.

But I will wait for Windows Pocket PC/Phone instead. So please let me know when it's available.

    Thanks in advace. :)

    GregM,

More than welcome to join the conversation.

Well.. Cingular is offering the upgrade option for $199.00 now so I might take a look and I don't think I will be able to find any better carrier for the next few years around NYC area anyway. Verizon was good for a while but their sound quality isn't that great.

But man... when V600 first came out with BT options, it was awesome. I just had to have it.

    Take care guys

.... We're cingular dealers if anyone's looking, lol...... We became a dealer for data for the pc cards that we have for the notebooks and for the last year and a half we've been expecting the asus pocket pc phone so we had them set us up for voice as well.

If anyone cares.... Asus has a HOT list of cell phones... nothing that is quite as thin as the razr, but look at their global site and take a look... they look like regular flip phones, but they're actually super small..... Asus has been planning on bringing those in for a year now..... We'll see if anything happens with that.

I didn't know that you are a Cingular dealer. :)

So do you sell Asus phones too??

    I gotta take a look.

    Thanks

PS) When you said "sig", I immedieately thought you meant a handgun for a sec. Stupid me...

    Haha... no no...

We're *dealers* in the loosest sense of the word.... we're not out there pushing cell phones or cell plans, we simply got hooked up to offer more services to some of our customers.... not exactly something you'll find out our website..... As far as cell phones.. I think the only thing we'd ever offer is Asus stuff, but they're slow moving that stuff into the US and nothing is guarenteed yet....... They're phones are pretty hot selling the Asia though.
