broken motherboard, broken screen? unlikely... besides, it would still be under warranty. If you also look at the plastic, it was not taken off and put back on. So this computer really was new. They may have taken some components out though (cuz you are right, they didn't start it up).

It was still painful...haha, gulp35, i was thinking the same thing... lol

well I still have my box for my Z70V. I beliave all the plastic stuff is still in there. I can always put them back on & make my computer look like I just pulled it out of the box. Even if they did power it on, they still cut away when they went to the tractor. The unit could've then been replaced by the broken one. ;)

Well the only codec I ever installed in my desktop was DIVX and that's where I viewed this. I downloaded it first though, then viewed it.

i dunno, it looked real to me. i also keep the plastic stuff, and when i went to sell my m3np, i put it back on, but it doesn't stick the same way it used to. ALso note how shiny and scratchless/dustless the screen was. I think this was definitly legit. They may have taken some parts from it though (which would explain why they didn't turn it on), like the hard drive, processor, ram, wireless, etc.

However, if they owned that property and those tractors... they're pretty well off. That rig they had there alone was probably close to 100,000 dollars (i.e. think ferrari, not tractor, haha)! It's still a complete waste though. I watch movies like Bad Boys 2, and i hate it (not only cuz it was nasty with all the dead bodies, parts, decapitation, disembowelment, etc) cuz there's so much destruction (like the part where they releaase all those "new" cars... now they probably weren't new, but certainly salvagable. Sure they have the budget (i mean, Smithy alone probably made 20 mil), but it's still waste.

If you get in a car accident or accidently drop your laptop (like what my sister did to my baby -- 4 foot catapult onto a concrete deck, but thankfully asside from scratches it's just fine) or have the air bag hit your screen and crack it (like Whiteheat from z71forums) then fine, it's unfortunate and hopefully no one got injured and/or no data was lost.. but to purposly smash a nice car/laptop, etc...

well think, that not only are people smashing, crashing, and blowing up nice cars/laptops/cats, but they do it to PEOPLE as well....

It was an interesting video... i would have liked to rather see him punch through the screen, or pour water on it... like something you may have wanted to do from time to time, but never did, so u just walked it off.

Kash, i think it's in ur best interest to claim the ASUS Warranty, and call it a mobo failure. :D

Kash, i just gotta u know NO laptop can handle that tractor, and the Panasonic toughbooks will come the closest to overcome such an endeavour.

Nonetheless, i was actually hopeing with woulda survived.

The Chasis did suffer a substantial amount of damange, but no cracks or breaks, except for the middle hinge. :D

It was really interesting to watch.

    Thanks,

    MysticGolem

This is just my hunch, but if you go to exactly 2:00 right before the camera zooms back (the first milisecond of the 2nd minute, its hard to stop on that frame, but its worth it) you can see that the monitor either has really wierd glare or a horrible break on it already. The keyboard looks destroyed as well.

I think they just did the old switch a roo, (yes like my name.)
