ARRRG please help me with this nightmare problem!
Please bare with me while i go through all the fixes ive tried so far.
If i install the video driver for this notebook then the video only gets pushed through to the VGA port. If i start in safe mode or roll back the driver to what was installed when reinstalling Windows 7 32bit then its ok.
There are no vid drivers on ASUS' site for this laptop so i have to use win update and the problem occurs again.
If the problem is occuring and im viewing the laptop via an external monitor it wont let me switch screens using Fn+F8 even though the animations appear to signify that it is changing to LCD, CRT or LCD/CRT.
If i go into the display settings and tell it to only display on 'display 1' and apply it i get an error 'unable to save display settings'.
It seems like the answer is close and im missing something obvious but here i am after just reinstalling 7 out of frustration and the problem still occurs. Worked a few days ago ok. Vid card problem maybe?
Would really appreciate the help as this has to go back to the customer REAL soon! Thankyou.
