This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Viewing optimus switching?

    Hi there, I recieved my Asus u30jc a few days ago in the mail and am not quite sure when the optimus technology is in effect. In review videos, they show a small nvidia window which says when the discrete graphics are turned on or off, but I am not sure how to enable that. As well, does it automatically sense when to switch or do I need to set it on or off for each program through the Nvidia control panel?
