sorry in advance to anybody who gets offended by me posting this if it has already been posted before, i just cant seem to find the right answer. so here it goes. i'm on the AsusTek support site and am looking for BIOS and drivers for 64 bit vista but i only see 32 and xp. do 32 bit vista drivers and BIOS work on 64 bit vista, am i just not seeing it, or does anyone know of another site that does offer it that they personally use with no problems? thanks for the info guys.

Don't know about 64bit drivers.. but bios is OS independent and it doesn't matter if you have anything installed at all if you want to upgrade it..

The BIOS does not depend on the operating system (Vista, XP, whatever) at all so you can safely use it.

About the drivers, I don't know... Somebody who has experience w/ Vista64 should help you there.

Edit: already answered, Sorry thread was open and I didn't refresh :)

I installed vista x64 on my g1s and while all the drivers from the cd worked (64bit versions), vista x64 is still beta to me. I'd wait a few years to use it. Btw asus' support site now lists 64 bit drivers. You can use most 32bit apps/utils too.

The drivers are working well on my system (Vista Business x64.)
32bit drivers will not work on 64bit systems. Depending on your system, you may want to flash your bios pior to going 64bit for compatibility(it's entirely optional, BIOS is the basic bootup of computers independent of the OSes.).

Yes that is definitely my opinion. Even if you are lucky and all the drivers work, usually they are more issuey than 32bit drivers. For instance the 3D performance of the GPU drivers can be much worse.
