I just has something very strange happen to me. I turned on my G1 (AK024C) that I got from MilestonePC around a month ago, and when i logged into Vista Premium it said that my Windows Vista was not genuine and that I had to Activate it? I would have though that the VISTA on these new computers would have been pre-Activated? So I had to use the Phone Activation option and used the Licence Key on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop and have it done over the phone. I don't know why VISTA wants to be activated now, after a month of using the laptop. It had not given me any warnings before that it was not activated.
Has anyone else experienced this with their G1?

I don't have a G1, but I did have that happen to me. Only my issue was worse, and I had to reformat. I'd back your data up just in case.

ClearSkies Well no, I'm still here..
I know that the Vista upgrades have a built-in 30 day trial period option on initial install/startup before you have to activate or it shuts down. Perhaps that's what happened given the timing, and the activation never completed when you began after initial receipt from Milestone. As long as your current activation went through without incident, you should be fine from here on.
Vista Premium needed re-Activation on G1
