I have a V6J and I was testing Vista (rc2) and it was stable and ran quite fast so I was very happy to know that my computer could indeed run (aero settings). I was however unhappy with the hit that my battery life took...

One thing that I love is the Power4 Gear utility that asus provides. It would not work under vista and I am sure that is one of the reasons for my poor battery life.

My question is...does anyone have info on whether asus will be releasing new versions of programs such as power4 gear for vista? I have searched the asus website but found no mention of it.

Any info for those of us who are thinking of upgrading from xp to vista would be helpful in making that transition smoother.

    Thanks very much-
