Ok so I've been running Vista for a while now and have run into some problems. First of all the Nero version 6.0 that comes OEM does not work. I have not found an update making it compitable either.

So I downloaded IMGBURN and tried using it(which is compatible with vista) and at first it didn't recognize that I had a disc in it. Then it said servo failure or something. So I reinserted the disc and it found the blank disc and then when I tried to burn it gave all kinds of errors(attached).

does it really censor out Matsh*ta? Thats ridiculous. Does this forum not consist of enough grown-ups to not have censorship? Especially ridiculous censorship that won't allow a "cuss" word in a manufacturer name....

..no wonder I couldn't find any results when I searched for my dvd drive name.

Yes, there are plenty of grown-ups here but also some youngsters and we try to set standards of acceptability.

Personally, I call those things Matsh!ta. Did you try searching for the UJ-850S? They can be troublesome burners.
