anybody ever experience your computers becoming super choppy when exploring the files in an SD card?

mine's been doing this lately, and i'm not sure if i had this problem before, but it's very irritating. any help would be appreciated.

I have no problems with card reader (F8N).Card reader is bootable and I believe it is connected via IDE.
I think your problem has nothing to do with Vista and perhaps Vista has problem with card access. It can be reader driver or faulty SD. Try another card and check your driver (it does not have to be the latest one but must match hardware)

Most likely its probably either old drivers or fault SD card. When I tried to use a faulty DVD (For example) it took forever to read it, and when it finally did it locked up the system and I had to do a forced reboot. Took me forever to figure out it was the DVD that was causing the problen.
