    Alright all those looking for the latest SoundMax Audio drivers for vista 32/64 with SPDIF support, I give you v6.10.1.6030 :D The latest version you can get from ASUS is v6.0.1.5350 :rolleyes:

    I haven't tried it. Got no SPDIF speakers :( Those who do have such speakers, try it and lemme know if it does work ;)

    Oh man, I can't thank you enough... for three days I'm now trying to activate my onboard-microphone on my asus a8js notebook.
    My problem is / was that I'm using Windows XP 64bit edition and asus doesn't provide driver for a 64 bit os.

    Its sick that analog devices refers to their OEMs.

    Its also noteworthy that Windows Vista 32 / 64 driver (not only these ones for the soundchip) work better on Windows XP 64 bit edition, that any driver provided from microsoft for xp 64 - like the standard UAA HD Audio Driver.

    My question: Where did you get these drivers from? Have you newer ones?
