Just got my new U35 a few days ago. I have been uninstalling all the bloatware and disabling some startup programs. Basically all I have done on the laptop so far. So today I try and change the volume using the fn+f11/f12 keys but it won't work. The little icon that should appear on my screen does not show up...Anyone have any idea whats going on and how to fix it?

You probably need to reinstall the ATK driver package(s) because that is what controls the hotkeys. You can download them from ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-
