This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Just saw this story over at el-reg.

    I was unaware of this feature, I guess this is a first for laptops and a nice added bonus for those looking at getting a new 17" ASUS lappie

    The Dolby Home Theater thing is just marketing-speak, not a feature.

    DD-Live for the A7J is interresting, however. Could be a market for people with a digital 5.1 PC-speaker setup at home for gaming. Not many notebooks with analogue 5.1 outputs and none with DD-Live, so at least it's a unique feature.
