I'm going to upgrade the RAM in my W2V and I had always assumed that as long as I got a PC2-4200 SODIMM I would be fine. But then I found an item on eBay and the seller claimed he was selling it because it was the wrong voltage for his laptop. Does anyone know if there are different voltages available within the PC2-4200 standard? Also is there somewhere I can find out the exact specifications of the RAM required for the W2V?

    Thanks,

    Phil

Doesn't anyone know where I can find out the full RAM specs? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for that. I was suprised that other people (not in Asus laptops though) were finding that the RAM being PC2-4200 wasn't enough to guarantee compatability. I guess I'll just email the manufacturer of the RAM I'm looking to buy and check with them.

You cant go wrong with Kingston KVR's. They work great and very affordable.
