I burned a transistor (possible more). The transistor literally caught on fire...
i had the mb out of the case workin on replacing the power plug.

So now i need new mb...

    Asus wants $375 for it...

    Any ideas ?

Maybe i should sell the individual parts..like screen, video card..etc.. and be done with it. But i really loved this laptop.

Well, you're certainly not going to be able to find a replacement motherboard from anyone else. The computer's not technically worth $375, but it's up to you if you'd rather use that money to buy a replacement motherboard or to go toward a new and almost inevitably much more powerful computer.
