I have a W2W with an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG card and would like to replace it withan 'N' wireless card (from the Eee 1000 I just brought).

The reason is that I do a lot of large file copies using the W2 and only do small transfers on the Eee.

I thought it would be easy enough (as they are both mini cards) but the W2W seems to have a strange configuration. The Mini cards are the same, but the W2W has an extra card that is connected to the motherboard via a seperate connector.

Would I be right in thinking that makes upgrading the W2W pretty much impossible? And that putting the card into the Eee which does not have the second connector is almost pretty much impossible...

I tried to get a card for the W2W (and also for my wifes W2Jc) but Asus refuse to sell them.

    Thanks in advabce,
    Stu
