I've played with the W2v and I gotta say it's probrably my favourite ASUS, tied with the V6 series.

    Very nice :D

Well, I,m doing a fresh install today (here it's 9.30am now) so by late afternoon I'll be giving some more impressions and pictures.
If you got any suggestions for pictures, what would you like to see. Just let me know.
(right now I'm still adjusting to the qwerty keyboard layout, I always used azerty )

Is it good? I'm not really into benchmarking. And why do I have 0 of 5 feature tests

Clean install + drivers. I stopped most of the running processes though

    that's a decent mark :D

    The W3J scores about 3700-3800
    The Acer 8204 gets 4000+ - 4300
THe MBP gets alot lower 3000+ <- heavy underclocking

It seems the X1600 is slightly underclocked, but don't worry it will still perform very well when gaming

Thanks so much for the pics, we would like to see more, also will you be doing a review?

Wow i just gotta say that is one kool laptop! Why can't North America get laptops faster LOL.

Have fun with it, also take some pictures of it with ur camera flash on so we can see things a little more clearly, also some pics of the lid plz. :D

I can't wait till i see one in real life!.

    Thanks,

    MysticGolem

    Here are some more pictures.
Anyone who wants to see a specific shot (size comparison or something) just ask.
Tomorrow I'll try to do some more benchmarks. And maybe a review within a week. I need some time to get to know this baby :p

Is it USB, is it firewire? It's micro-DVI !

    1) What about the sound of the integrated speakers?
    2) Does Home Theater (4.5 ?) work better then the previous versions? (TV, reading files...)
