W3 - 14" widescreen.. yes.
Mobil review reviewed the W3n --- that was the 855 chipset model.. plus if you look at their pictures compared to our pictures... their unit doesn't appear to be made with the aluminum that the W3v has.... I am 90% sure they reviewed a pre-production model a while back...... otherwise some country may be getting the carbonfiber model...... that's sort of what that looks like.
Thanks,
Justin

Very nice Justin... email I gave you is at work, so let me post my question here while at home -
is there an auto/air adapter for this model? I also like that you don't have to spend a lot to add 1x 512 ddr2 533. Thank you.

ps - what car are you getting? I get more excited about cars sometimes than laptops..enjoy the drive but don't forget us here -

Car Chargers...... already on the page... I think I actually set that up before I saw this... but they are up there too.
You don't have to spend a lot because there is an open dimm..... the V6 costs more because it was shipped in a dual channel setup.... we don't want to void Asus's global warranty on our customers, so we have to offer it that way... not the cheap way out, but having had the need when in milan to have my s5 fixed.... I had to call in a favor over here for them to help me fix our laptop when I was on vacation.. After that, we said whether the customer wants it cheaper or not, voiding that warranty is worth a lot.. if the notebook came $300 cheaper.... without a warranty.. than it's fine.. but thats about the value of what is getting screwed with if you don't have all the original parts.... thats all.
05.5 audi s4.. vroom.
______________
Edit:
by the way, it's actually very much a business car. It's going to be used for marketing the business... at some computer shows.. car shows.. in magazines and just on the road. I can compare our laptops to an audi on many different levels, so it's perfect for a rolling office. It will have a custom, pull from the glovebox - M5 which gets always on dsl speed internet through att's edge network... um... I'm thinking of maybe using a W5 because the glove box is tight... plus with bluetooth I can connect into a custom bluetooth setup that sony gave us which connects into this sweet pioneer avic-n1 dvd player and nav system...... and to my asus pocket pc phone...... I'm completely connected and thats what I'm afraid of..... There is going to be more we're going to do with it in time... but the overall idea is to have no wires... and to allow everything to fold back up into the car so when you just want to drive, you don't have to be bothered with all the tech... That is going to be my problem. a few weeks ago in another car I watched dogeball, while on a business call (on my bt headset) and while typing with one hand, an AIM message to somebody..... oh, did i mention I was driving?.. yeah.. I've got to stop doing that.

Wow loved your car, love even more the gadgets that you are planning to install!
That is why I am really interested in an integrated Bluetooth so I can use it with all the new gadgets that are out there - pda's, navigation systems/maps, phones... you can name a few.
I think the w3 is not that big so I can use it in the car once in a while...and not too small for daily use at home while the son is playing with the desktop. Although this may not be the first laptop we will be talking about because my wife thinks the laptop is hers!

Am I getting offers? haha. Nope, not married... thats a touchy subject for me right now.... and I wish I could get into more details but I've got to atleast keep something private.. but yes I know that over the last year and a half (thats about as long as I can remember right now) I've put in about 14 hour days and a good 10 hours atleast split between the weekend.. that is what... 80 hour weeks?.. and I think I'm being conservative with that number. Anyway, that takes a beating out of yourself and relationships, no matter who you are.. and not to mention 44 credits of graduate school I've completed in that same time period....
If anyone honestly knows how you can buy more time in a day... I am honestly a good canidate for some.
I'll be 25 in september..
Thanks,
Justin

haha... I've loves S4's for years now... like an M3, but I can raise a family in it (if i had one) .. 4wd, 4 door.. but something about it doesn't say "look at me, I bought a beamer just because everyone knows what an m3 is"...
The W3 is as wide as my V6 (13") which is a little more than 1.25" wider than the W5 and about 2.5" wider than my M5.. since I was planning on the width of the notebook fitting in the glove box... the M5 is the way for me to go for that application.
Thanks,
Justin

Wow you're a lot younger than I expected. I was thinking early 30s...
Bah, you've got plenty of time before you find "the one". You're more/less in the prime of your life [8D]
Me on the other hand... I can't even touch alcohol yet...[:I]

Hey Justin... are you married? I wonder how old you are...it sounds like you barely have time to date with all of this business stuff you have to deal with

Thanks for the heads up....
Don't hate me..... You did say you were going to pick another one up.... and I know how it must feel..... Personally the W3 and V6 are the best middle of the line (size wise) things for me..... I love my v6, compared to me M6 or even having to use my W1.... but for me, I travel a lot and still do heavy graphics work on the road...... so my next laptop has to be the W3.... and thats only because I don't even need 15", no matter how thin and small it is... so it makes my job easier picking what I want for the day..... but if you get one for your wife... she's going to hate you... because you're going to go from one to the other and back and she's never really going to have "her own" []
Thanks,
Justin
