Can W3 run in dual display mode with 2 different resolutions. For example I would like to run the notebook display at it's original resolution 1280x768 and and at the same time external monitor at 1680x1050.
Friend of mine told me that ATI drivers odon't allow that, which I find wird?

On another note. If I want to upgade W3 RAM to 2x512mb. Where could I get additional 512mb ram (preferably in europe) that would be the same as the one installed by asus, to run in dual channel mode?

Yes......... I think I showed this before but I often hook my W3 up to my 23" widescreen lcd........ which runs 1920 x 1200 ....... but the other cool thing is not only can you run a higher res on an external monitor, but you can also change the ratio.... if you have a 19-21" crt thats 4:3 ratio.... you can use that in the correct ratio and res even though you only have a WXGA 14" widescreen....

You don't have to have the identical ram stick to run in dual channel...... I'd just pick up a corsair or kingston if you have it available to you.

Glad I could be of service.... but remember, you can do this with basically all of Asus' models... not just the W3.

    Thanks,

Yes I know that, I just wasent. I was first thinking of buying W1 for extra screen relaestate, but than decided I would prefere something more portable like W3 and buy a big desktop LCD for when I need mre screen realestate. Plus I like te fact that I can add a 2nd HDD in W3's media bay.
The only thing I miss with W3 features is the lack of docking station.
