Just got my W3J and after reformatting and installing xp pro and then the drivers, Splendid is not working. Upon startup, an error pops up saying that ACMON.exe crashed b/c it couldnt find glcddll.dll

Could someone please send me this file, and also tell me where it needs to go? Thanks in advance.

I tried reinstalling from both the bundled CD and the website. Still getting the same error.

Sounds like some kind of conflict. It's highly unlikely that both the downloaded and disk version of Splendid are missing the same dll file so something is preventing Splendid from installing properly. If you do a search of your hard drive does it find the glcddll.dll file? It shows up on my W7J in the C:\Program Files\Asus\Splendid folder (default install options). If it does, can try manually registering the .dll file by going Start | Run and in the Open box, type

    regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Asus\Splendid\glcddll.dll

Replace the path in the above command if Splendid is installed in a different folder

Alright, I do have glcddll.dll in the Splendid folder. So I tried the command you recommeneded and this is what comes up:

C:\Program Files\ASUS\Splendid\glcddll.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file cannot be registered.

Any ideas? I'm gonna search around google for now.

Thanks for the help thus far.

Edit: quick google search shows that either the file does not have to be registered, or it is corrupted.

Most likely the dll does not need to be registered. Try Dependency Walker (freeware). Can get this at

    http://www.dependencywalker.com/

Open ACMon.exe within Dependency Walker and it will show all dependent modules. Anything flagged with red or yellow icons is either missing or invalid.

It says system32/MPR.dll is redflagged, but according to the FAQ, thats a common redflag and usually shows no real issues. Other than that, everything is fine for ACMON.exe

Any other ideas? Seems like nothing is working :/ I appreciate all the help though man.

Reinstall the OS. I'm sure this will fix the problem. Or maybe restore your OS to a time when Splendid was working?
