Hi, just ordered my W3J, anything I need to know?
I have 1 question. How can I change it from FAT32 to NTFS? I will have files over 4GB in size as I will be using VMware. Is the best way to do a complete format?
I cant wait for it to arrive!

There is a utility that does it for you. It will be on your desktop.
-
Aparently there is a specail process to follow, to make sure the clusters format properly, it is ok if you use the utility as soon as you start your laptop for the first time, but have a search on the forums for converting to NTFS and see what you can find....

I would get a printed version of the "W3J Owner's Lounge" and sit down with a large mug of coffee... and possibly a meal... or two
All your questions will be answered.... All of them! -

I got mine today from c9tech, took 2 weeks due to fedex delays but the wait was well worth it!

i just ordered mine through geared2play and i know the wait for it will kill me .. = \

Right now I am practically murdering myself for not ordering one when Newegg had them in stock for a few hours last week

Go ahead do it. Murder youself. That's one more W3J for someone else.
I ordered my W3J from Zipzoomfly.com. At the time I ordered they were in stock, when my ordered was being processed I got an email saying that unfortunately my order is now a backorder. ETA is 08/30/06. Hope they meet the date. Can't wait no more. But then again supposedly October is the release of W3J with Merom. Maybe I will cancel, and hold on for that one if the price range did not increase.

um, about that conversion to NTFS thing, i've always just searched for it in the windows help file. that's always worked for me, but i've also never had any file over 4gb.
could someone please clarify: is there a difference between the preloaded NTFS converter and the one embedded in Windows?
thanks in advance!
