I just thought that I would start a new thread about the advanced orders.
    Here are my questions:

    1) Has your credit card been charged and does it show the charge on your statement?

    2) Did you receive a call from your credit card company or bank asking about the charge from the W3J?

I am asking this because i received a call from my CC company on April 3rd for security purposes, however, the charge hasn't posted on my account. The thing i found odd is that i called my CC company and they don't have any record of a security check.

Mine has been charged and everything looks fine.

How could your card company call you about a potentially fraudulent charge if they have no record of the charge? If you don't generally make $1800 charges, your card company may put it on hold before it is charged and call you to verify. Totally normal, and as soon as you okay it they should put it through. E-mail or call the reseller though to confirm everything.

I know we talked about this in the email you dropped today... and that stands.... the only person who could call you for "security purposes" about an order (if it wasn't me) would be your card.... now the people who handle those special verifications are probably different from the minimum wage phone operators who you probably spoke to the second time. If I have a problem, I'll contact you or anyone else, but until then, your order is in and fine.

I know that most everyone who placed an order is either expecting their card to be charged asap, or needs it charged or whatever reason.... I'm getting through them a dozen or so a night and anyone who has any issue should know they should contact me through email or of course i've got aim and so forth...

Charges to cards sometimes take days to pop-up. As long as the company you bought it from has received confirmation from your bank that your credit is in good standing and allows the transaction, then you're fine.

That's weird. Normally people wouldn't want a charge on their account to pop up so soon :D heheh..

I'm guessing, but it's probably because they are holding the funds to be available but at the time it hadn't actually posted?

Actually, our payment processor, who is the clearing house between your banks and ours sort of put a hold on all of the w3j payments because it fell outside of our normal habits. Just like when you use a credit card if you make $20 purchases all the time and then have a $2,000 purchase, they call you up to make sure it was you. Well with this, we have monthly averages which are electronically watched. The W3j advanced order surpassed our monthly average in about two days. Along with that came close to 80 some fraudulent attempted orders which get declined automatically, but still appear to our payment processor as an "attempt". So, we had to sort of do an OK ourselves to let them know this normal... it's what happens with these advanced orders.... by no one hijacked our site or anything...
So, even though I did get about half of the orders processed.... they were holding funds and I'm not sure how that works, but it should all be cleared up by on Monday.

ok, so the reason my bank has no information on any authorizations or charges for my advanced order is because your payment processor has basically not allowed it to go through until everything is verified. thanks for clearing things up.

That's amazing - on all accounts. I can't believe the number of the fraud attempts.

They're not all fraudulent attempts. I was declined because I didn't have the correct amount of money in my account when I thought I did.
