I try to use aflash2 (downloaded from asus) to install bios 211 but i get:
Please do not installEMM386.exe and Himem.sys

is there any other way for me to install this BIOS version.

I have vista installed already without a hack, it just installed normally.

The reason I want to install this is that maybe this will fix a little issue that brings the asus logo screen twice (second time really fast) and takes about 60 seconds to boot up.

so what i am looking for is another way to intall the bios

Thats weird, I wonder why you can't install the bios. I installed the bios before Vista and everything seems to be working fine. I am dual booting XP and Vista, not sure if that makes any difference.

LatinoHeat: question for you, my hotkeys and P4G do not seem to work, I've read that it depends on the order of drivers that is installed. What was the order you installed all of your drivers? Also, are the drivers for W3J on the Asus website different from the ones posted on the sticky on the first page?

@ LatinoHeat: I suggest you try the Winflash for Vista software, you can download it from ASUS' download page for W3J. BTW, how are you, dude?

@ dt34: Have you installed all 4 of the ATK drivers listed in Vista drivers thread in this forum? ASUS' W3J download page only lists 1 ATK driver, but we have to install all of the four ATK thingy.

thanks, installing all 4 of the ATK driver got them working. i still have a problem tho, the P4G doesn't seem to play nice with the windows power management, everytime i switch to different power settings, the screen brightness doesn't change unless i manually do it. any suggestions? i'm using the Asus P4GX_Vista32_070313 version. thanks again.

dt34, glad to hear that you got your hotkeys working. I use the same P4GX, but I don't notice the issue you describe... not because my W3J does not have the problem, but because I use 'high performance' all the time. I'll check on it in my W3J.

Just a question, can I flash 211 Bios being on XP and not planning to install Vista? Or is this Bios for Vista only?

Myself and some other members have flashed the 211 bios before installing Vista and XP still runs fine. I have a dual boot XP and Vista, and haven't seen any problems yet.

    I have same problem. :(
I have also another problem with WMP11 and media keys. If I start WMP with the "CD" key, the media keys doesn't work. If I start WMP normally from start menu the media keys work!!! Is there anything I can do to fix this?
