    OK,another problem has came up.

So i tested my w3j for first time with battery mode... when i charged it, the battery light was orange, and its gone, so i assumed now its fully charged.

however once i pull the adaptor, it would load windows but when its about to hit desktop, it auto-reboots... and it becomes a cycle until i re-plug my adaptor.

the battery is not loose, because i plugged its locked in. and we know it has power since it can load windows, just won't go to desktop.

I had the same problem. I just uninstalled Catalyst 6.9 and put the original drivers from Asus and it works fine.

EDIT: lastly, how come when i go to www.ati.com, under windows xp -> notebook ati graphics -> driver updates, i download the Installation Verification Software and it says "unfortunately, this sofware update cannot be installed on you system. Please contact your notebook manufacturer for driver updates: ????

ic, thanks for reply.. but i don't get it... an ATI card driver should be updated at ATI site. i just went to asus's site and the latest video driver they had for w3j was from april... then i went to video card drivers for EAX1600, and its this 200mb file..

Forget the ATI drivers, get the Omega ones from www.omegadrivers.net. Not only are they more stable, but they don't underclock you card like the default Asus configuraion does.

This has nothing to do with the drivers, which game are you playing? Go to www.widescreengamingforum.com and search for the game you want to play, I tried the fix for FEAR and it works perfectly on the whole screen on my W3J.
