Try reinstalling the Ricoh Card Reader driver. That should do it.

I have done that several times :( I enven uninstalled the driver first in Device Manager :( and my MMC 'device' has an exclamation point. The only way I can get it recogzied is by rebooting with the second hard drive removed and the SD card inserted. Once I remove the SD card it no longer shows in MY Computerr and does not come back when reinserted :(

In the device manager, select the card reader with the exclamation mark and ask it to find a new driver. Insert the W3J driver CD and see what happens.

No go, still doesn't work. It does not even work when drive bay is empty. WTF! I went into device manager and uninstalled each driver. I then backed up all the driver files elsewhere and then deleted them. Now when it goes to find the new hardware it reinstalls the drivers from SOMEWHERE?? I am trying to remove all traces of whatever drivers there where before so it forces the use of the ones from the CD.

Now when I say use CD it says has the latest

And the MMC Host controller still has an exclamation point!

Ok, I cleaned out all the drivers and the MMC driver is the issue. When I uninstall the MMC driver the SD card works fine, but everytime I boot it wants to install the MMC driver. Why does the MMC driver not work?
