Is there any way to disable bluetooth on the W3J that doesn't involve using the stupid bluetooth manager every single time I boot up? I would like to just disable it in the BIOS, but there appears to be no option for Bluetooth, unless it's part of the wireless option, which would be pretty lame since not everybody wants to use bluetooth and wireless at the same time or disable them both at the same time.

That's the first place I looked. The only thing I see that sounds remotely like bluetooth is about a half dozen com ports under the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section.

i'm going in a bit blind here without a w3j myself, but perhaps there is a startup service you can turn off related to the bluetooth module?

    run > services.msc

Nothing that I can find. The more I think about it, the more I bet that the "wireless" lock in the BIOS is for both WiFi and BT :(

Have you turned it off with the button on the left (edit - right) edge of the notebook? It seems to stay off for me if I turn it off there....

In the device manager is "Bluetooth Devices". Disable those.

Didn't see anything like that, but if I enable bluetooth with the BT button, there is a device under USB devices that appears to be the bluetooth module. Disabling it causes BT to stay disabled.
