Just wanted to chime in about my keyboard. It's just kind of annoying how my fingertips seem to be polishing certain keys on the keyboard to make their centers glossy. I just wish it didnt have to be this way.

Happens to most keyboards, just a wear and tear factor.

Kinda like how tires wear out....you can't avoid it since its a daily necessity...It's meant to be used.

For indoor use, you can consider to use an external USB keyboard, then it can keep it out of wearing. It will let it be longer.

.. or get something like this: http://www.kbprotector.com ... I'm using it on my A8Jm and saves wear and tear by quite a bit.

Not most.. but all translucent keyboards will do this.. desktop or notebook. That's because they are made with clear plastic and then coated to make them just slightly translucent and not clear.... Over the course of a year or so, if it really bothers you, new keyboards aren't that expensive and certainly a user replaceable part. I'll tell you this though... the translucent keyboards look a hell of a lot better than the solid colored keyboards which just look dated.
