I think I read about it on the forums before, but couldn't find it when using the Search feature :/

It was something about when you closed the lid to your W3J, and then opened in afterwards... the screen would just stay black?

It happened to me today, and nothing I did would turn the screen back on. I had to hit the power button in the end, and restart the notebook :(

It does this to my A8Js also. When I close the lid for a while and re-open it, the lcd stays black no matter what buttons I press. Only way to turn the lcd back on is restart the computer.

It's an Asus-wide problem. There's yet to be a true fix. Certain workarounds have been found (they can be seen in about 4342 threads on the topic), but nothing that fixes the issue.

This started for me last night on my F3Ja!! Is there a fix at all for it besides a restart? Every time i shut the lid now it happens.

It depends on what version of Windows you are running. I had good luck fixing this issue in XP by downloading two hotfixes. These were available on Microsoft's site originally, but then I had to download them from the hotfix library. If I can find those links again, I will post them here for you to try and download. Like I said, they worked for me.

For Vista, I never had that problem so I cannot comment.
