I want to know what are you using your W3J for! My W3J works great with my 3D program. Stable as a rock hasn't even crashed once even with very high poly objects. Here is my latest work.

What are you using your W3J for Making movies with your DVD burner? 3D? Gaming? School? Maybe using the power of your W3J for notepad? Lets see some of your work.

Net, word processing, audio conversion (tapes and CD's to mp3), a few games.

Got it mostly for the futureproofing.

i have been looking at this w3j, how do you owners like it so far. I work alot with photoshop, illustrator and 3d rendering programs, is the screen too small? I had a 15.4, and i LOVE the wide screen.. do you think it is a bad idea to move down to a 14"?

    hi joystik,

i am also looking at this notebook. the screen maybe too small to work comfortably with for hours. i will overcome this by hooking it up to an external monitor. has anyone connected it to an external crt or tft via vga? how is the quality? any pictures to show this setup?

    thanks,

I gotta say that the W3J is a masterpiece. I love it. I havent had any trouble with it. Never crashes, screen is great and the power is more then enough for me. At the moment I use my W3J for gaming (CSS,BF2) and games run very well, I also listen to music and watch movies. I am upgrading the memory to 1GB 667MHz, so after that the sluggishness should disappear. I have a USB mouse, microsoft elite keyboard and a 17" crt screen plugged in, which makes desktop working so much easier. Love the fact that its so small and light. I will be doing some photoshopping as soon as the "prettier part of me" starts working again ;) Gotta love it. I have to say that this notebook has to be the best buy that I have ever made.

I connected it with my plasma screen and it worked great. Found it fast and no problems with the resoulotions or anything else. Only niggle is that the vga connector is pretty loose and small bump and its out. Wasnt a problem when i only watched a movie but if you have it on your desktop i guess it is.

I think the screen on the w3j is good for what it is but if you are used to work on 19+ lcd's then its a big change. Will try to connect it with my lcd screen a coming day and if you want to know how that works remember me.

I've been doing some basic video editing (decoding, laying audio), writing, playing games.

This is my first time with a DVD burner, so I've been burning some...and having USB 2 is the best (amazing pulling files from a laptop w/ USB 1.x vs. bringing up on the W3).

Games have been great on it - Civ 4 and Galactic Civs II both have native widescreen support, and she runs rock solid (save for one Galac. Civ crash).

i am not at home too often, so i will be working mostly on the laptop with no external screen. So this 14.1 might be a problem eh? But i love the size. Working on it for hours will probablly suck?
