I just picked up a W3J in Singapore today and am very pleased with it! The only problem is that the infrared port is missing its cover- the little piece of dark plastic that sits over the port, next to the SD card reader. I was so occupied checking the screen for dead pixels in the store that I somehow missed this and only caught it at home. Just my luck- always seem to have one minor problem with each notebook I get, despite checking it in store!

My W3J currently looks like it has another USB port in the side. I'm also a bit worried about things getting in there which aren't supposed to as well, and the exposed infrared diodes/leds.

Would Asus service even be able to replace this sort of tiny part (not expecting any help from the reseller- in Singapore after sales support is all from the manufacturer) quickly? I have to travel in a week, so if they're not likely to be able to replace it I'd rather not give the notebook in and risk other complications. Any one experience with this sort of thing? Any help would much appreciated
