When my monitor turns off as it it set to, it doesn't turn back on with a keystroke, mouse movement of touch pad. The laptop remains on and running and if I hit the enter key, it will even launch any icon that happens to be highlighted. But the only way I have found to be able to get the monitor back on is to put it in standby with the Fn+F1 button, then bring it back out and poof, works fine.

Anyone else have this problem or can you give any advise to fix it?

It is a W3J with all the original configs and drivers in it, no changes at all (oh, execept the bios update). It does it under every circumstance I have tried so far: accessories connect or not, power plug in or out, programs open or closed, different times set to turn monitor off. Light remain on at all time until it is manually put into stand by. I don't want to just keep the monitor from turning off.

Thank you for any input or thought.

    Same issue with W1J .

I use Fn+F8 (push twice) to turn the monitor on again...
Haven't found any solution for now .., will keep you informed

Ah, that makes it a bit easier to tolerate for now, thanks! At least now I can get it back without loosing my wireless connection.

Are you using all the factory installed drivers for power management?

Occasionally have this problem with the A8jm; it's probably something to do with Power4gear.

Same here with an A8JP. I put it in Standby and back as well.
Can anyone say if transporting the Notebook in Standby mode is dangerous or something?

    Peace,

I was also thinking Power4Gear, so I uninstalled and restarted... *poof*... works fine now, thanks "realness"!

I don't really use that program and was debating whether to get rid of it or not, guess that makes up my mind for me.

For those that like the program and are having the problem, maybe there is an update for it?
