Wow never got the feel of how nice the gun metal looked until today. That is one tight machine. Can't wait to get mine.

    Thanks for the pics.

The trim that looks like a bronze color is a gunmetal grey

The palmrest which looks black is is just a really dark charcoal grey

The lid, as always is a black anodized brushed aluminum.

I dont' know if anyone noticed, but i guess Asus decided on the w3j-h017p rather than the w3j-h014p.

BTW are all those boxes in the background filled with W3J's.

arggh, the w3 series is just so good looking. while the pic is of the newer version.. it just makes selecting between the z62j and w3v (with rebate) more difficult.

awesome pics, any possible way you could put a quarter next to the lappy or something for a size reference, trying to get a feel for the size of the laptop, having a hard time with just a ruler ><

If you look at the sticker with the barcode on the underside picture of the W3J you can read the model number of the W3J and it say W3J-h017p rather than W3J-h014p, which most of us were baffled about early on. There was a discussion about the model number a while back in one of the W3J threads, but i'm not sure which one.

I am having a difficult time comparing the size of this to a 14inch HP laptop i saw at bestbuy. The HP was the perfect size, then there was a 14inch vaio and it was so large in comparison, both were widescreen. I cant figure out where the w3j fits in comparison to these.
