Can anyone elaborate on the relative size/weight of the W3J's power supply? I am seriously considering the W3J along with the VAIO SZ and I am trying to get an idea of the total weight difference between the two, once the power brick is added into the equation. I am an out-of-state college student who flies about 12x/yr, so aside from carrying it around campus I do a fair bit of airport adventuring... my trusty-old/hefty (read: P4) Dell Latitude is a pain to travel with and so weight is my biggest concern in a new laptop, which is what initally attracted me to the SZ. Since then I have discovered the W3J, but am trying to weigh the tradeoff in lbs that I would be making for its superior features.

Also, if anyone has found a protective sleeve that matches the dimensions of the W3J please let me know. Someone mentioned in another thread that the Booq Vyper is apparently just a few milimeters too snug and was asking for real-world experience with it but didn't get a reply.

    Thanks!

I use a motorcycle helmet bag (soft thin material with a pull up string) to protect the W3j in the carry case. Works great.

Geared2play: can you estimate the weight? I posted on the Sony forum that I went to Best Buy today to compare weights by picking up the 4.1lb SZ and then a 5.5lb Toshiba, and decided that all things being equal (i.e., weight of the AC adapters), I can live with the 1.5lb difference to get the ATI x1600 and some other features. Supposedly the SZ's power supply is pretty bulky so the difference in travel weight may indeed be negligible.
