    Hey everyone,

It seems that I for some reason cannot put my computer to sleep or hibernate it. As soon as it starts to do the process, something goes wrong and it restarts and then Windows shows a critical error alert once it boots up again! (I'm running Vista but I think this happened in XP too)

Also it seems that Vista isn't adjusting my fan speed as according to NB Probe it is always on low & quiet setting even when the temp of the CPU is critical!! How can I adjust the fan speeds?

    Please help!!!

    The classical suggestion:

    Update/reinstall ATK/ACPI drivers and utilities.
Update/reinstall video drivers; if using modded video drivers revert to stock.

You should also be sure that the vents are clean. If there is too much dust or whatever in there, there won't be sufficient airflow to cool the computer.

Also NB probe itself may be causing a problem so try uninstalling it and using something like mobile meter.
