    Hello.

I have this problem when I try to install 6.8 and 6.10 drivers from ATI on my w3j. After I install fresh windows using recovery cd's, I try to install either of the drivers but I get the following errors:

When I try ATI 6.8 driver, i get this error message: "INF error, Video driver not found"

When I try to install ATI 6.10 driver, i get this error message: "Setup did not find driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. Try to setup your display adapter with a standard VGA driver before running set up."

I tried this with stock drivers installed and with them uninstalled. Both gave same error, anyone know what is wrong?

If you just re-installed and have nothing to lose, go through the restore process again. Do you get the message as the drivers are installed or as Windows loads?

Where do you get the ati driver? I have this problem before but it was solved after I change to another web site to get the driver.

Hi Light2, are you sure you have the right driver? I mean... the ones with 'Mobility' in their names...

First make sure you have the right drivers. Just like above mentioned.

Then, yuo can do either of 2 things.

    1) Install 6.8 and then if you want to try 6.10 go ahead, but I suggest stick with 6.8 because that is the most stable with the W3J, and has no problems with the infamous "infinite reboot" problem.

    2) What a lot of people would suggest when it comes to video card drivers is to uninstall any or previous drivers and then install the new ones, so that are no conflicting or problems.
