when using my w3j wireless, i keep getting disconnected from the internet for about 5 seconds every half an hour or so. Its not a huge issue but it gets really annoying especially on mirc or playing online games. I dont think my router is the issue as, the other computers using the router never had this issue. It doesn't happen all the time but 3/5 times every 30 min i get d/c'd for a few seconds. Anyone know why or how to fix this.

Do you have Intel Wireless-Proset Installed? If you do not, I have noticed similar issues with my Intel 2200Bg in my Uniwill laptop in my Sig. Because of this, I installed it right away in my Z96J and didn't think twice. Make sure that ALL of the wireless drivers and utilities on your support CD are installed. If they are, try downloading updated drivers from Intel.

I experieced this with my W3J when I was letting Windows handle my wireless connection. Instead I use the Intel Pro Wirelss and I do not get the problem. Might want to give that a try

I encountered another person on this forum who had the same problem, and he tried messing with drivers and it didn't work. He ended up formatting his HDD and doing a clean install of windows. Then he reinstalled everything from the support CD and it worked fine.
Has this problem always existed, or is it recent? Did you install Windows and all the drivers yourself? Perhaps you could try uninstalling ALL the wireless drivers AND utilities, and install EVERYTHING from the support CD. You do have all the Asus utilities and such installed, yes? -
not too sure if this problem is recent or not as I havent been using my w3j for online purposes. I just recently noticed this as I started to use it more instead of my old desktop. I haven't done a fresh install of windows and the drivers for the wifi were up to date. I guess ill try reinstalling the drivers and utilities and if not a fresh install.

OK. No guarantees a fresh install will work. You could also look through Intel's settings on the wireless card.
