Ok, I woke up early to finally get a chance to do this battery test that I have been wanting to do for awhile. So here is my configuration

    Battery saving mode- CPU 25%
    Screen Brightness- 18%
    Bluetooth- Off
    Wifi- On
Tasks Done- Websurfing, checking email, using instant messenger, playing little java games

My results- 3 hours 37 minutes

It was around what I expected it to be. I tried to make the most of the battery life, because when my laptop is unplugged, this is what I will be doing with it. I was using it the whole time, no down time where the computer was just sitting, and also I turned off standby, Hibernation, and I made sure the monitor was always on.

I also expect you could probably get close to 4 hours if you undervolted the CPU a little bit using NHC or RMClock. But of course, I don't know since I havn't tried either program.

Also, If you are planning on lisening to music, watching dvd's or anything of that sort, I would expect a battery life of around 3:15, but I can validate that claim either.

    Hope this helps some people

That is main battery only right? Seems low if including the optical battery..

In any case... I doubt undervolting will improve battery life by more than a few minutes at best in Core Duo systems, mainly because Intel has locked the lowest multiplier at 0.95V... hence the only improvements will probably be had at the higher multipliers, which occurs less....

I've undervolted my T2400, and haven't gotten any significant battery life extension, only the CPU temperatures seem lower by a few degrees...

Very helpful and you are awesome for doing this test :)

Also like Darrick said... that is with only the primary battery, right?
