    W3J; auto disable touchpad when usb mouse plugged

    my dell inspiron laptop has a synaptics option to disable the touchpad whenever a usb mouse is detected.

    how come this feature is not available even with the newest synaptics drivers on my asus w3j? it's not available on a toshiba satellite either...

    though it's not necessary, as on a w3j it's the touch of one button to enable/disable, but i still think it would be nice if it was automated :p

    If you're using the same version of the Synaptic touchpad software on both, I'd have to suspect it's a unique feature of the Inspiron hardware. Just a guess, though.
