    Hey,

I noticed the W3V seems to be available in australia now from a few internet shops such as techbuy.com.au. Just wondering if anyone knows for certain what the colour scheme of the australian model is going to be.

Also is it possible to upgrade the ram from 400Mhz to 533Mhz?

    Thanks
    Adrian.

Synnex web site (www.synnex.com.au) displays the picture in the black colour scheme so I'm assuming its that. I'm pretty sure synnex is one distributor for Asus in Australia.

Not sure on the RAM, but if its like the W5A then no its not 533mhz compatible...

The ram should be upgradable to 533, however, I dont see much point as you cant take advantage of dual channel 533, but you can take advantage of 400 dual channel, I think.

If I were to get one, I would put a second chip of 400ddr2 in it and be done with it.

    Hey,

just incase anyone is interested i emailed the australian distributer (synnex.com.au) and was told that the australian W3V will be the black coloured model, not the lighter shade seen in the US.

You lucky Aussies. The black colour scheme. 100gb hd.

Darn. The Norwegian inmporter is so slow.. I hope the same model comes to Norway. But the models vary from different places on the world. And since Norway is almost on the other side of the world of Australia it will be exciting to see what Norway will import.
Or maybe I should just start digging..
