ok, i've searched far and wide to try and find an answer for this, yet to no avail.

i'm just wondering what the difference between all the different W3V codes are, such as W3000V, W3030V, W3032V, W3H00V...there are probably more but these are the few i've come across.

    cheers :D

They are all product codes of the W3 series, which Asus sometimes calls the W3000 series. The critical parts of the code are the first two and the last digits. My W3 is a W3471A, which means a W3A with a certain specification. The full product code will define what comes out of the factory and will simplify correspondence between Asus, its distributors and the retailers.

    Thanks John,

Do you mean certain specifications such as the hard disk size and the amount of RAM and stuff like that?

Yes. This site http://www.asuslaptop.co.uk/products.php?cat=39 shows some different model numbers with different specifications.
