Any chance of seeing the quick play option for CD's being extended to DVD's and/or MP3's stored on the computer?

Not that I've found.... you need the dvds to be decoded and I don't think that can be done without the booting up.

Isn't quick play usually just a dumbed down version of Linux...at least thats the way I've heard it described for the way the HP quickplay (or whatever they call it) is done. In this sense wouldn't it basically just be a software upgrade, or does the ASUS quickplay system work differently. Not a big deal, I'm just kinda curious as to how these systems work.

    Thanks,
    Ian :)

I don't think that's how audio dj works..... But on my s-presso system (which is an asus home theater unit) ...... there is an "instant on" option which basically has a linux program that works off a seperate partition...... Asus hasn't used that in any notebook yet, but if any... I would think it might appear in the W2, if at all....... but I haven't even thought to check that out yet.
